island trip

サメット島というバンコクから3時間くらいの島に来ています。

we are coming to samed island only 3hours far from bangkok.

全長約10km 人口数百人の小さな島で、特にこれと言ったモノはないんですが島をバイクで回ったり、海で泳いだり、ハンモックに揺られてボーっと考え事したり。
お金ないけど、キレイな景色と島独特のゆっくりと流れる無限の時間があります。
贅沢。
u know its small island just like few hundred people,10K total length.
nothing special, place for chilling.
not much money instead of unlimited time.
its real priceless.

今まで何もない島で一週間もゆっくりした事なくて最初は何したらいいかわからなかったけど、何もせんでいいんや。と感じてからは何もない時間を有意義に使えるようになった気がします。
自分はいつも何かしないと。と焦ってしまう落ち着きのない人間なので、ゆっくりと自分らしく過ごせるこの島に来て良かったと思います。
never done such a chilling activity for a week,so we couldn't figure what to do.
just realized that alright let's chill out, enjoy this moment.

宿も安いし、お気に入りの屋台も出来たし。
何より地元民がいい人ばっかりで一週間も滞在してしまっています。
we got cheap guest house n favorite street restaurant.
also local people here is amazingly nice to us.

この島のいいトコは小さいコミュニティーの中に大きい生活基盤が存在する事だと僕は感じました。
小さい商店、屋台が立ち並ぶ商店街の様な小さなメインストリート。
バスがないのでトラックの荷台に捕まらせてもらって移動する人達。
きっと昔の日本にあったような、隣人皆が仲良くお互いに助け合って生活しているこの島の人達が僕は大好きです。
small community here which makes local foundation for their life.
neighbor helps neighbors u know.
this is why we like locals here.
だからセブンイレブンの出店なんかに負けないで、島のコミュニティーの存続を願います。
don't let seven-eleven mess up local community.
hope this  local foundation is ganna be kept.
